Welcome to CAYA Alpha Omega!
CAYA (Come As You Are) Alpha Omega’s mission is to create a safe, welcoming faith community that connects young adults and students in the San Diego area.
About Us — CAYA began as a young adult group as part of Abundant Life Community United Methodist Church. Today, CAYA is stepping into a new season of ministry as an Alpha Omega Kappa chapter, serving the greater San Diego area.
What is Alpha Omega? Alpha Omega (AO) is a collective of 10 United Methodist chapters that are scattered throughout the West Coast, San Diego being the newest. Each chapter is free to run independently while participating in joint events and retreats throughout the year, fostering friendships and community that crosses city/state lines.
The first AO chapter originated in Fresno in 2003, and has grown since then. The purpose of AO is to foster faith and community amongst young adults. AO is all-inclusive and welcome for anyone to join! The goal is to create a community for young adults to grow in their faith, serve, and create lasting friendships.
What We Do — Our group has a multitude of activities to participate and join! We have bi-weekly meetings where we gather to have a meal, do a faith based activity, and worship together. Our chapter will organize and participate in service or outreach events. There are also opportunities for retreats and organized gatherings with other Alpha Omega chapters.
Why Join? — Alpha Omega is a great opportunity to meet new people, deepen your faith, and connect yourself into a loving community! There is no commitment or membership fees, and all are welcome to join!
Events — Upcoming meetings, activities, fundraisers, competitions, or community events. CAYA Alpha Omega meets bi-weekly on the 2nd and 4th Friday’s of every month. Our first meeting of the new school year will be on September 11th 2026. More events to be announced.

Hello, I’m Kai! I’m a member of Abundant Life Community and a lifelong San Diego resident. I graduated from San Diego State University and enjoy helping create opportunities for our community to connect and have fun together. Outside of church, I enjoy listening to music, especially EDM, watching anime, and cheering on the Dodgers.
Pastor Lenora
Pastor of Abundant Life Community
Pastor Lenora serves as the pastor of Abundant Life Community. She is an ordained Elder in The United Methodist Church with a passion for helping people grow in faith, experience meaningful community, and discover how God is at work in their everyday lives. Lenora is also a San Diego State graduate who loves being on her yoga mat, traveling to new places, listening to music, and hanging out with her kids.
